The theme of this year’s conference is Development of Smart City in the Big Data Era. More than 200 GIS experts, professionals and scholars from Beijing, Hong Kong and Macau attended the conference. Conventioneers included government representatives, chief land surveyors and professional land surveyors from HKIS. As the only commercial firm representative invited, Mr. Thomas Lee conducted a 15-min presentation titled “Development of Smart City Big Data in 3D GIS by Multiple View Stereo Technology”. On the following day, Mr. Lee conducted another 3-hour presentation about our new technology on MVS, UAV and LiDAR to the Institute of Surveying and Mapping, who defines GIS standard in mainland China.
