Accident Scene Mapping
SVL has created very high resolution maps and 3D models of accident scenes which can become evidence in court cases.
Using our techniques for accident scene map the key features are:
- Accident scenes are complex and our photogrammetric techniques creates simplicity in acquiring field data;
- There is a reduction in cost since data acquisition is less complex and
- Our cameras are portable.
Crime Scene Analysis
SVL produces useful measurements and diagrams; 3D models of car tyres, foot prints, etc. that are useful in crime scene analysis.
A key benefit of our methods is that with PhotoModeler we are able to produce useful diagrams and measurements using single photos which becomes even more beneficial when evidence is limited.
The applications provided here are only a few. PhotoModeler has been successfully used by police forces in New York and New Jersey and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) in the United States of America.
